The chipper uses the TP OPTICUT disc and knife system. Here, the blades are divided and offset on the disc so there is always at least one knife engaging the wood. Consequently, the machine runs with less vibration, a more even load on the tractor and lower fuel consumption.

Material enters through a horizontal infeed with a generous funnel opening, then passes to twin hydraulic feed rollers. These rollers grip and pull in branches reliably, so operators spend less time pushing and more time managing the job.

For tractor protection, TP recommends the TP PILOT stress control system. This monitors rotor and feed speeds and briefly pauses the infeed when the system approaches overload. As a result, both tractor and chipper stay within safe working limits, especially in dense or knotty timber.

A swivelling discharge spout (up to 270°) then lets you place chip accurately into trailers, bins or neat piles at the roadside. This makes the TP 175D PTO Wood Chipper practical for biomass production as well as traditional chip-away work.
