Engine & drive

The Eliet Prof 6 PTO is powered directly from the tractor rather than having its own engine. It connects through the 540 rpm PTO, using the tractor as the power source for the shredding rotor.

The machine typically requires a tractor between 14 hp and 34 hp, making it suitable for compact and utility tractors used in grounds maintenance, arboriculture, and estate work.

Because the shredder relies on PTO power, it eliminates the need for a separate engine to maintain. As a result, servicing requirements are reduced while the tractor provides reliable and consistent power.

Shredding system

The Eliet Prof 6 PTO uses Eliet’s well-known 4S shredding principle — shredding, splitting, speed, and smart discharge. Branches are split before shredding, so the machine cuts along the natural fibre direction of the wood.

Consequently, the machine produces BioTech chips with a fibrous structure that breaks down quickly. These chips are ideal for composting or for use as mulch and garden border filling.

The rotor uses durable professional shredding blades, designed for long working days and heavy workloads. Because the blades follow the fibre structure of the wood, shredding efficiency improves while blade wear remains controlled.

Turbo discharge system

The Turbo Discharge system is a key feature of the Prof 6 range. A powerful suction turbine creates airflow that pulls green waste into the cutting chamber and then blows the shredded material through the discharge chute.

The airflow from the 325 mm blade turbine continuously clears debris from the rotor housing. Therefore, the machine operates with minimal clogging even when processing damp material or leafy branches.

The blow chute rotates up to 280° and reaches approximately 1.8 metres discharge height, making it easy to direct chips into trailers or piles.

Infeed system

The V-safe infeed hopper is shaped to guide larger bundles of pruning waste into the cutting system safely. Because of its design, branches naturally align with the cutting blades.

This hopper improves feeding speed while still maintaining operator safety. Consequently, productivity remains high during continuous work.

Frame / chassis / build

The Eliet Prof 6 PTO uses a robust steel chassis built for professional use. Many versions include agricultural tyres and wheel drive, which allow the machine to move under its own power when loading or positioning.

The wheel-drive system uses a hydraulic wheel motor controlled by a rotating handle on the handlebar. As a result, a single operator can manoeuvre the machine when loading it onto trailers or vans.

The blow chute is made from corrosion-resistant synthetic material. Because this material is smooth and seamless, it reduces airflow resistance and helps prevent clogging.

Comfort & maintenance

Eliet designs the Prof 6 range using its FAST PITSTOP maintenance concept. Key maintenance areas can be accessed quickly, often without tools.
