Engine & drive

The FSI D30 TRACK Remote uses a Kubota D1305 water-cooled diesel engine producing around 25 hp (18.5 kW). Because diesel engines deliver strong torque at lower RPM, the machine maintains steady cutting performance while keeping fuel consumption efficient.

Power transfers through a V-belt driven cutter wheel combined with the FSI power-clutch system, which includes an integrated brake for fast cutter wheel stopping. As a result, the machine provides reliable cutting performance with improved safety during operation.

The counter-rotating hydraulic tracks allow the grinder to manoeuvre easily across slopes, soft ground, and rough terrain. Consequently, the machine reaches stumps that wheeled grinders often struggle to access.

Cutting head

The FSI D30 TRACK Remote uses a 470 mm cutting disc equipped with FSI 25 tooth holders and multiple cutting teeth designed for efficient chip removal.

Two hydraulic cylinders control the cutter head movement, allowing stable up-and-down and side-to-side positioning. Therefore, the grinder can remove material efficiently across the stump surface.

The machine provides a large working area, reaching around 80 cm above ground and approximately 38–40 cm below ground. In addition, it can sweep across about 135 cm, reducing the need to reposition the machine frequently.

Frame / chassis / build

The FSI D30 TRACK Remote is built on a heavy-duty tracked chassis designed for professional arborist work. The machine width is approximately 760–775 mm, while the retractable track system can extend to around 1150 mm for improved stability during grinding.

With an operating weight of roughly 970 kg, the grinder benefits from high stability when cutting larger stumps. The chassis also includes lifting and lashing points to simplify transport between job sites.

An optional rear dozer blade can also be fitted to assist with site preparation and levelling after stump removal.
